Unlucky loss from Pobeda in Strumica

Rabotnicki suffered a 2-0 defeat from Pobeda in the 24. round of the First League, match that was played in the “Mladost” stadium in Strumica. Altin Loga and Filip Najdovski were the scorers of the goals at the end of the second half.

Rabotnicki started the match better than the hosts, and also had one more player on the field since the 21. minute, when Blagoja Gesoski received a red card, for elbowing Duranski in the face. Our team had few good shots by Angelov and Duranski, but couldn’t take the lead.

The second half brought a red card for Rabotnicki as well, after Herera received a second yellow card and had to leave the field early. Playing “ten against ten” Rabotnicki was better on the field, but couldn’t get a leading goal. Luck was not on our site in the last ten minutes, as Pobeda took the lead in the 82. minute with Loga’s stunner from 20 meters. We had a great chance to equalize, but Tofiloski saved the shot from Asani.

In the last seconds of the match Pobeda scored a second goal, Najdovski stole a ball at the center of the field, went all alone against Bozinovski and found the way to the net.
