Vardar lucky to get a point in the derby against Rabotnicki

Rabotnicki dominated in the derby against Vardar, but couldn’t find a way to win the match, taking only one point after a 1-1 draw. Vardar players had luck on their side, with our team missing a penalty and two great chances in the last five minutes.

The guests took the first lead with Petar Petkovski scoring after nine minutes of play in the only dangerous attack of the champions during the entire derby match.

Rabotnicki was much better team on the field, but couldn’t equalize the result despite Altiparmakovski, Sahiti and Cikarski all missing good chances. Our team had total control on the field also in the second half, deservedly drawing 1-1 with Vujcic penalty, after the same player was fouled in the box by Ljamcevski. In the 89. Minute we got another penalty, whit goalkeeper Pacovski fouling Kire Markoski in the box. Referee Jakimovski only showed yellow card to Pacovski even though it should have been red, so the Vardar goalkeeper stayed on the field and saved the second penalty from Vujcic.

In the last minute of extra time Rabotnicki had one more golden chance, but Markoski missed a sitter after a good pass from Sahiti.
